  • The Simple Woman's Daybook~

Outside my window... is where you will find me this morning.  I'm on the patio letting the sprinkler do my work this morning.

I am thinking... about our plans this year for homeschool, and pray that Sam is really ready to begin where his placement test shows.

I am thankful for... ice!  My throat still hurts (day 8) so I'm still eating chipped ice for comfort.

From the learning rooms... I'm still working on lesson plans.  We have a date of 8/3 as our start date, but will actually hit the books as soon as I finish up the lesson plans.

From the kitchen... a simple pasta meal tonight.  I'm still not feeling well.

I am wearing... purple shorts and a t-shirt.  I do not match.. and I do not care.  =P

I am creating... lesson plans and chore schedule for the upcoming school year.

I am going... no where!  In fact, I have to call to cancel our plans to attend a BBQ today.  I just don't have the energy.

I am reading... Crazy Love, Framing Your Worldview, and The Good Life

I am hoping... I'm over this by Sunday since I am on nursery duty.

I am hearing... birds, the sprinkler, and a lawn mower.

Around the house... my son bought me a Swiffer Vac.. so after it's charged up, I'm going to give it a go on my floors.

One of my favorite things... cold pizza for breakfast.. mmmmmm

A few plans for the rest of the week... focus on the things that need my attention.  I'm leading a Bible study on Wednesday nights and need the rest of my week to go smooth so I can pour into those who come to learn.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

This is where I'd like to be right now..

Hi! I saw your comment on homesteading tess and just loved your xanga name so I came to visit!  When I saw your verse at the top of the page, I wanted to tell you how much that means to me. I love the picture that comes to my mind...I'm holding the hand of my Heavenly Father for He is the vine...I am the branch...clinging - therefore, I remind myself that all that I need today will come from Him, to me. It doesn't always feel like that, right?!   But in faith, I remind myself of this wonderful verse. I enjoyed this quickie visit. ~Blessings
